Adult Fiction

We are seeking commercial and upmarket fiction with memorable characters, strong storytelling, and a clear place in the market.

Contemporary, Upmarket & Book Club Fiction
Character-driven fiction with emotional depth and broad reader appeal. We are interested in stories about relationships, family, friendship, ambition, identity, reinvention, community, faith, purpose, and the choices that shape adult life.

We welcome family sagas, friendship stories, workplace fiction, sports-centered narratives, multigenerational stories, inspirational fiction, and novels centered on significant life transitions.

Romance & Romantic Fiction
Commercial romance with memorable characters, strong chemistry, and satisfying emotional payoff.

Our interests include contemporary romance, romantic comedy, historical romance, sports romance, romantic suspense, holiday romance, inspirational romance, and select speculative romance.

Mystery, Crime & Suspense
We are interested in everything from cozy mysteries to character-driven crime and propulsive suspense.

Areas of interest include cozy mystery, detective fiction, amateur sleuth stories, psychological suspense, domestic suspense, legal and workplace thrillers, romantic suspense, and crime fiction.

We especially appreciate distinctive protagonists, memorable settings, and series potential.

Historical Fiction
Immersive historical fiction with strong characters and a compelling narrative.

We are particularly interested in overlooked stories, family sagas, historical mysteries, and fiction that brings lesser-known people, communities, or experiences to the page.

Speculative Fiction & Fantasy
We selectively consider accessible speculative fiction, contemporary fantasy, magical realism, alternate history, mythology-inspired fiction, and other imaginative work grounded in strong character and story.

Young Adult

We selectively acquire Young Adult fiction with a distinctive voice, strong hook, and clearly defined teen readership.

We are most interested in contemporary fiction, romance, mystery, suspense, historical fiction, fantasy, speculative fiction, and inspirational stories.

Because YA is a selective part of our list, we are looking for projects with a particularly strong concept and clear market position.

Nonfiction

Our nonfiction list is selective and commercially focused.

We look for projects with a clear purpose, identifiable readership, and a compelling reason to exist in the marketplace.

Business & Leadership
Practical or idea driven books about leadership, entrepreneurship, career development, workplace culture, management, or professional growth.

Memoir & Narrative Nonfiction
Personal stories that open into something larger, whether a cultural conversation, shared experience, historical connection, spiritual journey, or broader question.

Personal Development, Faith & Purpose
Thoughtful books that offer readers substance, useful insight, or a distinctive framework. Authors should bring relevant expertise, meaningful experience, or a clearly developed perspective.

Culture & Commentary
Accessible nonfiction exploring entertainment, media, music, books, sports, cultural movements, or contemporary life.

History & Biography
Narrative-driven nonfiction that brings people, events, communities, or overlooked history to life for a general reader.

Food & Lifestyle
Select food writing, culinary narratives, lifestyle projects, and cookbooks with a strong concept or clearly defined readership.

What Makes Us Take Notice

The strongest submissions make it easy for us to understand what the book is, who it is for, and why it belongs in the marketplace.

We look for a distinctive voice, confident storytelling, a clear premise, and a fresh approach to the subject or genre. We value specificity over imitation and lasting reader appeal over trend chasing.

Projects that cross genres are welcome when the positioning remains clear.

Submission Guidelines

Honey Blossom Press begins with a query submission rather than a full manuscript. If your project appears to be a strong fit for our list, our editorial team will contact you to request the complete manuscript or additional materials.

Fiction

Fiction manuscripts should be complete and revised before submission. Please provide:

• A brief pitch

• A synopsis of approximately 500 words, including the ending

• The opening three chapters, up to 10,000 words

• Total manuscript word count

• A brief author bio

• Up to three recent comparable titles

Please submit the opening chapters rather than selected scenes from later in the manuscript.

Nonfiction

Please provide:

• An overview of the project

• The intended readership

• A proposed table of contents

• Brief chapter descriptions

• One or two sample chapters

• A brief author bio

• Relevant credentials or connection to the subject

• Comparable or competing titles

• Information about your audience or platform, when relevant

A complete nonfiction manuscript is not required unless requested.

Formatting

• Writing samples should be submitted as a Word document or PDF.

• Please use a readable 12-point font, double spacing, one-inch margins, and page numbers.

• Include the author's name and book title on the first page.

Previously Published Work

Our primary focus is new, unpublished work. We may also consider previously published or self-published titles for reissue on a case-by-case basis.

Reissue projects should present a clear opportunity for a new edition, such as demonstrated readership, renewed market potential, newly available rights, or meaningful repositioning.

Authors submitting previously published work should provide the project's publication history, current rights status, previous editions, and available sales information.

Authors who have published elsewhere are welcome to submit new, unpublished work.

Simultaneous Submissions

Multiple submissions are welcome. Please submit each project separately.

If you receive an offer of representation or publication while your project is under consideration, please notify us promptly.

Response Time

Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond individually to every project. If we are interested in reviewing additional material, we will contact you within 12 weeks of submission. If you have not heard from us within 12 weeks, please consider the project declined unless we have contacted you to let you know it remains under consideration. Please do not send status inquiries during the review period.
